About Us

Afraid your mailed loan payment check won't make it by the due date?  Unable to travel to one of our branches to make your loan payment on the due date? Already past due on a loan and try to limit fees and penalties?  Then, Express Payment is your solution!

VA Desert Pacific FCU partners with MoneyGram International to offer you a simple, low cost and efficient payment remittance solution.  You may visit one of 40,000 MoneyGram Agents in the US and remit your loan payment.  You find these Agents at well-known retail locations such as Wal-Mart, CVS Pharmacy, chain-supermarket such as Albertsons, and many more.

All payments received by the Agent before 4 PM, Monday through Friday*, will be posted to your loan at the credit union on the same day!  Payments received after 4 PM will be posted to your loan the next business day.   Many of these Agents are even open 24/7!

Follow these 3 simple steps to ensure that your loan payment is made on time, every time!
1. Locate the nearest Agent to you by clicking here!
2. Note our Receive Code (7410) and your account number.  Your account number is your credit union member number + L + Loan ID (example: you want to remit payment for your loan 022 and your member number is 12345.  The account number you need to provide to the agent is 12345L022).
3. Bring your cash payment**, our Receive Code (7410), your account number, and the remittance fee to the Agent.

It's that simple!

2Q.  Does the remittance fee increase according to the loan payment amount? back to FAQ
A:  No, regardless of your loan payment amount, the remittance fee is fixed.

3Q.  Does the payment and remittance fee have to be cash? back to FAQ
A: It depends.  For most Agents and locations, the answer is yes.  The only exception is Wal-Mart.  Wal-Mart accepts payment made from a Visa Debit Card linked to your checking account.  You need to know your PIN to complete a payment using your Visa Debit Card.

4Q.  Can I make the loan payment using my Visa Debit Card? back to FAQ
A: It depends.  At Wal-Mart locations, you may use your Visa Debit Card to make the payment and pay for the remittance fee.  You need to know your PIN to complete a payment.  At all other locations, payment and remittance fee must be made in cash.

5Q.  Can I make the loan payment with a personal or Cashier's Check? back to FAQ
A: No, only cash or Visa Debit Card linked to a checking account (Wal-Mart locations only), are acceptable payment methods for Express Payment remittance.

6Q.  What if I don't know my loan ID? back to FAQ
A: Call one of our Member Service Representatives and they will be able to provide it to you.  However, if you at least know your member number, you can still remit the payment.  If you have multiple loans and we can't determine which loan ID you want us to apply the payment to, we will call you using the contact information you provide on the remittance slip.

7Q.  Do I need to provide my phone and address to the Agent? back to FAQ
A: Yes, we need your phone number and address to ensure we post the loan payment to the correct member account.

8Q.  What information can I expect to receive from the Agent? back to FAQ
A: Once the Agent processes your payment, you will receive a Confirmation code.  Please retain the Confirmation code as your proof of payment.

9Q.  May I call the credit union to make sure the loan payment is posted? back to FAQ
A: You may call, however, it is not necessary.  Within 10 minutes of the Agent processing the payment, the credit union will receive an alert that a new payment has been received.  If your payment is made before 4 PM, Monday through Friday, we will post the payment to your loan on the same day.  If your payment is processed after 4 PM, we will post the payment to your loan the next business day.

10Q.  May I use Express Payment to deposit money to my account at the credit union? back to FAQ
A.  Although Express Payment is designed to enhance our loan payment remittance capability, you may also use it as a cheaper alternative to deposit money to an account at VADPFCU.  An average wire transfer costs $20 to $30.  Mailed deposits may take up to one week to get to the credit union.  The remittance fee for Express Payment is fixed at $8.99 for most locations.  More importantly, the credit union posts your deposit on the same day, if remittance is made before 4 PM.

11Q. What information do I need to provide to deposit money to my account at the credit union? back to FAQ
