We have some exciting changes coming to the products that impact how you use your accounts here at VA Desert Pacific FCU. Here are some things you should know about what is coming on May 26, 2020:

ATM, Debit and Credit Card Enhancements

Having one of our cards now comes with even more great benefits:
  • Control your card from your online banking session or our mobile app. You'll have the ability to turn your card on and off and set per-transaction spending limits based on various factors such as dollar amount, transaction type or merchant type. Additionally, you can receive alerts based on the transaction type, set a location boundary where the card can be used based on a map region or device geolocation and set parental or employer controls and monitoring.
  • See your credit card activity real-time in your online banking session or via our mobile app. No more separate logins or waiting until the next business day to confirm activity. You'll also be able to easily transfer from your accounts to make payments to your credit card or even advances from your card to your checking or savings accounts. Your statements will also be available in the same e-Statement view. For those of you still receiving paper statements, they'll arrive in the same statement envelope as your other Credit Union accounts.
  • Access your account via digital wallet. Your Debit and Credit Cards will now be available for use with Apple Pay™, Samsung Pay™ and Google Pay™.
  • An updated look and feel for all of our cards.

Updated Phone Calling Tree Options:

We are actively looking at ways to improve your phone experience with us. That is why we are expanding our call center to be able to assist you with all your banking needs. Because of this, the following options will be in effect starting May 26th when you call us at (562) 498-1250 or (800) 993-VADP (8237):
  • Option 1: Telephone Banking (Listen to recent activity, verify balances and/or make transfers)
  • Option 2: Activate and/or select a PIN for your ATM, Debit or Credit Cards
  • Option 3: For 24/7 support on any ATM, Debit and/or Credit Card related concern/question
  • Option 4: Questions or concerns regarding any bill payment initiated from Online Banking or our mobile app
  • Option 5: Speak with one of our lovely Member Service Representatives
  • Option 7: To speak to someone regarding an existing loan application or to apply for a new loan
  • Option 9: To repeat these options again or if you just want to hear Vladimir's voice for a bit longer
If you have automatic payments set up for your credit card...
Did you set up automatic payments directly from the previous credit card access portal? Then your bank account information will be transferred during this upgrade. If you set up any kind of payment from another financial institution's bill pay system then you'll need to cancel that bill payment. The following is the mailing information for payments made after May 26, 2020:

Your current cards will continue working...
Although our new cards will all have a new look and feel to them, your current cards will continue working. You'll be issued a new card design once your card expires.
You don't have a credit card but you want one...
We want you to have one too! There are a lot of benefits to having a credit card, especially for emergency use. and our cards come with some of the lowest interest rates in the industry. To apply for a credit card, call our lending department at (562) 498-1250, option 7.

You plan on using your card between the hours of 2-3am PST on May 26, 2020...
Well, that's oddly specific, however, if you happen to be using your card during the exact time frame when we plan on rolling out these enhancements. Although there shouldn't be any impact to your card, we know there's a small chance something is bound to go wrong. We ask that you be patient and retry again after 3am PST.
